Mr. Tharoor, a pig cannot complain that the cesspool smells really bad. What are you doing in Congress Party? Is your party not responsible for looting the country for most of the years after independence? Quit politics and start a nonviolent movement to fight corruption. You cannot eliminate cesspool unless you first get out of it. This is the time you get  out.

It is a fallacy that one could change India by joining politics. India is a kleptocracy, a country run by political and bureaucratic thieves. If one joins a gang of thieves, one becomes a thief. With great effort one could change the system, but one could not change its culture. Gorbachov changed Communist system in Russia, but he could not change the culture of corruption associated with that system.

The culture of corruption could be eliminated only by nonpolitical citizens united for that cause. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. Those who are willing to give up a little bit of liberty for a little bit of security deserve neither liberty nor security.

Good luck to you Mr. Tharoor! Hope you will come out of the cesspool and become a clean pig.
